Merula means blackbird. And blackbirds live in the olive groves of the Marques, where the olives for this oil also grow. They are harvested a little later. That is why there are ripe notes of olives, fruits and vegetables on the nose. The mild, buttery oil tastes of ripe fruit, almonds and olives.
