Basil from Albenga in Liguria is the basic ingredient for our house pesto. Due to the special climatic conditions and thanks to the humus-rich soils, a special variety of basil grows on the Riviera di Ponente. Not strong and citrus like its Piedmontese cousins, but with a delicate, nuanced aroma. And so is our pesto. Genoese style with olive oil, parmesan, pine nuts and garlic. An extremely tasty cream that not only goes well with pasta, but also with cold veal and poultry, on mozzarella and in vegetable soups.
