An extremely elegant solution for the production of disposable tableware - from renewable and compostable raw materials - offers the use of sugarcane fibers. This large amount of residual material is produced by sugar extraction during the production of cane sugar. The particularly tough fibers, which have been burned frequently, can be used as valuable bio-mass. From the remnants of a single sugar cane straw, up to 50 disposable plates can be produced. The crockery made of sugarcane is stylish, light and yet very stable. In addition, it is water resistant, suitable for the microwave and therefore also for the cold as well as hot area.
