The basis for the golden yellow truffle oil condiment are white Molise truffles and the extra virgin olive oil Colonna. The strong peppery olive oil smells discreetly of white truffles and goes well with toast, egg dishes as well as rice and noodle dishes. The estate of Marina Colonna stretches over 320 hectares in the Molise region, which, like the neighboring regions of Abruzzo and Apulia, lies on the Adriatic coast. Over 25,000 olive trees are cultivated here as local and Italian varieties. The olive varieties are harvested separately at their best ripening time and gently processed into first-class olive oil within 12 hours.
