This cuvee consists of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. Some of the older reserves are matured in oak barrels. This fresh, fine-bubbled champagne encompasses a very complex variety of aromas with a fine minerality. A lively scent of lemon blossom and grapefruit reaches the nose, the finale is elegantly rounded off by spicy aromas of cherry and fig. 90 Parker points. As of 2022, the name has been changed from Grande Reserve to Grands Terroirs. Times are changing, even in Champagne. The future there, as the present proves, belongs to high-quality champagne winemakers and small champagne houses that have their own vineyards so that they are not completely dependent on their grape suppliers. One such impressive house is our new family business Champagne Veuve Fourney et Fils in the Premier Cru town of Vertus. As of 2022, the name has been changed from Grande Reserve to Grands Terroirs.
