Distilled from the juice of ripe Marasca cherries, which grow Luxardo itself in Veneto. For fruit salads, for mixing (eg for Vesuvio with Sambuca, Bacardi, hot coffee and vodka). This is the original and is in any professional bar worldwide on the shelf. Originally developed by a housewife in the 19th century based on a recipe in the former Dalmatia, it made a triumphal march to the United States. The liqueur is made from Marasca cherries, which was originally only available in Dalmatia. Luxardo it builds now also in Italy.
