Lavender is native to the Mediterranean area and is often drawn with us in gardens. Dried flowers lose a bit of their blue color, but si retain their strong aromatic odor. Lavender is typically used for southern cuisine and mainly only for robust dishes. Since the intensive smell and taste dominates, should be set carefully when seasoning. Together with garlic fit lavender flowers also perfect for cheese, especially Schilmmelkäse.
