The Königsschild grapes thrive on a southern slope on the Nahe. Homogeneous soil, loess loam with traces of shell limestone. The Riesling: dry, elegant, clear and structured. The winery Tesch in Langenlonsheim is truly a traditional winery, since 1723 it is now in family ownership. Martin Tesch, current patron of the winery and studied microbiologist, is a passionate advocate of the idea of terroir and at least as passionate opponent of uniformed mass production. In practice, this means: controlled environmentally friendly viticulture, selective grape harvest by hand and durchgegorene wines. The result: pure Riesling!
