Some of the water has been removed from these fruits in order to preserve them. They can be eaten dried, but can also be soaked in water, fruit juice or alcohol. They are a true delicacy in muesli, fruit or mixed salads, sauces, fillings, rice, cakes or cookies. Of course, they are also ideal for garnishing a wide variety of dishes. The pears are harvested as fully ripe, sweet and aromatic fruit and dried with hot air.
