The crown grapes thrive on a steep south-eastern slope on the Nahe, with loess clay to sandstone weathering, which give the Riesling a strong mineral character. The strong temperature fluctuations help the wine in turn to a robust temperament with pronounced Zitrusaromatik. The Riesling presents itself with expressive citrus fruit, robust appearance and striking bitter finale. The winery Tesch in Langenlonsheim is truly a traditional winery, since 1723 it is now in family ownership. Martin Tesch, current patron of the winery and studied microbiologist, is a passionate advocate of the idea of terroir and at least as passionate opponent of uniformed mass production. In practice, this means: controlled environmentally friendly viticulture, selective grape harvest by hand and durchgegorene wines. The result: pure Riesling!
