The dried pulp of coconuts is called copra. Its fat content of up to 70% underlines the pleasantly exotic and coconut-typical taste. Copra is processed into chips and variously fine rasps, except for the production of coconut oil. The mild-nutty aroma is popular in cake and biscuit baking. Many chocolate products are also combined with coconut. In the hearty kitchen, coconut is part of Indian Masalas, for which the dried coconut meat with aromatic spices is made into a spice paste.
