Corsiglia Facor, guarantor of high quality, candied fruit. The focus is on authentic taste and color. Unlike most other products, the product is not over-saturated and semi-soft in consistency. Orangeat is made from the oily trays of bitter orange, also known as bitter oranges. The processing to orangeate is relatively time-consuming: salted-out, half-fruits are desalted, blanched, freed from the core casing and the peelings are then candied in sugar solution. Orangeat is bright to deep orange, easily entering the brownish. The taste is sweet, with an aromatic bitterness. Use as a baking ingredient for pastries such as Florentine or in the Christmas bakery.
