Even pre-Christian cultures valued barley as the `holy` grain. Whether as a pan dish, delicate-grain risotto, salad or dessert - 40 grams of Gerstoni Classic are enough for a side dish, 50 grams for a vegetarian or vegan pan dish with plenty of vegetables, and 60 grams for a delicate-grain risotto. Pre-cooked gently with steam, so ready to eat in 20 minutes.
Barley. 100% beta glucan barley. Quantity: 40 - 60 g barley / person, yield 1: 3. Creamy-spicy like risotto rice or tender-grained. Grainy consistency swirling method: Place with 3 times the amount of broth, stock, tomato soup and more and cook for 20 minutes on a low heat in a pot or sieve. Rinse with cold water or allow to cool quickly. Then mix with swirled vegetables. Good also cooked in tomato sauce. Acidic ingredients, such as light dressings, make barley seeds turn bright white. Stand firm for up to 2.5 hours. Swell the milk with the 8-10 times the amount of lightly sweetened milk and spices for about 45 minutes on low heat and let cool with milk supernatant. Stir once. Or cook with less milk and bring to the desired consistency with liquid or whipped cream after cooling. For sweet desserts, also in orange juice.
