The Canary Islands are always worth a visit, not just because of the climate. The kitchen is also traditional and independent. One of the most famous dishes in the Canary Islands is surely the seasoning sauce: Mojo. It is available in green and red, and in the Canary Islands it is usually served with Papas Arrugadas - small, wrinkled potatoes cooked with a lot of salt. The small factory Labuela Flora from Tenerife is owned by the siblings Teresa and Jose. The production is handmade according to Grandma Flora`s recipes, which has been passed down in the family for generations. Try the Mojo Picante as a dip with potatoes, vegetables or fish, on toasted white bread as a starter, as a marinade with meat or with salads like a vinaigrette.
