2017 Francelina Tinto, dry, 13% ABV, Schneider

On a slate terrace, four hundred meters steeply above the Douro, vines over 80 years old grow in a vineyard named after its owner Senhora Francelina. The entire cultivation takes place with great manual effort according to the old methods of this historical region. Manual harvest of ripe grapes, traditional mash fermentation with stems in open vats, gentle pressing under low pressure, then without external intervention (fining or similar), stored for 18 months in multi-year barrels.
