Drink more Portuguese! `Says Lukas, the man in the hat! And with what? Rightly!!!. If all Portuguese people would taste like his Krauss Portugieser Alte Reben 2 hat vintage 2013, then more wine drinkers would respond to this appeal. The extremely low-yield, spontaneously fermented red wine aged in barriques has it all, the quality of the man with a hat is also displayed in hats. Here we have by far one of the best 2 hat wines from the young winemaker, who has now had a few years to mature and has reached its peak in terms of taste. The image of the Portuguese has unfortunately fallen into disrepute because it is a very high-yielding grape, which means that there are many very weak wines of this grape variety in circulation, which usually look slightly watery and look more like a fruit dwarf with a plum aroma. But Lukas Krauss does away with all prejudices here! He creates a red wine full of character with aromas of black berries, vanilla and lots of spice. Powerful and velvety at the same time, full of tension and diverse.
