A full-bodied, yet elegant selection for which only the best and ripe grapes have been selected. The expressive fruit and the enormous length are typical for Saar Rieslings of this quality. This wine is rich in complex and multi-layered floral aromas paired with a fine mineral character. The Ockfener Bockstein lies in a side valley of the Saar. It is a steep south-west slope, in front of which there is no other mountain that could obscure the sun. The soil consists for the most part of a coarse, rubble-like Devonian schist. Most of the parcels of the 5 hectare property there are in the middle, i.e. in the fillet of the mountain. The wines that grow in the Ockfener Bockstein are characterized by a special, mineral character and fine flavor. They are probably the most distinctive and polished wines of the winery.
