This is the sweet version of the wonderful bar snacks from the fine bakery Tresor in Erquinghem-Lys in the far north-west of France, right on the Belgian border. Baked according to traditional recipes, they give the magic of the waffle taste that we have missed since childhood. Not too sweet, but with an incredibly high re-grasp reflex. While this type of butter waffle is traditionally served with coffee in France, we love it as a topping of desserts.
