Kriecherl plums - fine brandy, 43% vol., miniature, Golles

Kriecherl is a small-fruited plum variety that still predominantly occurs in Styria and Eastern Austria and is an archetype of mirabelle plum and plum. The specialty of this fruit lies in the interesting interplay of sweetness and tart acidity and in the fact that the pulp is almost inseparable from the stones. One cannot therefore easily remove the cores from Kriecherl. For this brandy, the fruits are mashed with their stones, most of which are removed after fermentation. This gives you a pleasant core tone that underlines the fruitiness but does not come to the fore. A noble distillate, in which the so attractive interplay of the different aromas in the fruit is beautifully expressed.
