The rowan berries for this brandy come from mountain ash from the heights of Styrian alpine pastures. Only berries from wild plants are used, which are much more interesting for distilling than those from cultivated mountain ash. Due to their far lower sugar content, they bring much less yield, but pass on the much more intense, stronger aroma of bitter almonds and marzipan to the distillate. This fine brandy is characterized by its bitter spiciness and a subtle bitter almond tone, but also by its fine taste and long finish.
