The abbreviation TC stands for Terre Cuite or Terracotta. The Chardonnay base wine comes from the Les Aventures single vineyard and was matured in a terracotta egg. This method of production created the special tension and texture in this wine, because, unlike a wooden barrel, terracotta does not impart any flavors to the wine. The character of the grape variety is expressed more clearly. In contrast to steel tanks, in which the wines are hermetically sealed, the wine can also breathe a little through the terracotta vessels. The base wine comes entirely from the 2016 harvest. The champagne was disgorged in November 2020 with a dosage of one gram. On the palate, the Blanc de Blancs is very present, clear, powerful and, again, extremely elegant. What is noticeable is the fine spice of saffron and cinnamon. There is also a little warm butter, as well as almonds and a pinch of lemon zest. The texture offers a slight resistance and is therefore irresistibly silky. The Grand Cru is powerful, fresh and precise with a clear mineral note.
