Champagne Vazart Coquart 82/14 Blanc de Blanc Grand Cru, extra brut, 12% vol.

The Vazart-Coquart `82/14` Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru comes from Grand Cru sites in Chouilly. The average age of the Chardonnay vines there is 43 years. The vines are deeply rooted in belemnite chalk. The winery was in the process of converting to sustainable and ecological viticulture. This champagne comes exclusively from the reserve perpetuelle, i.e. from a solera that was started in 1982, of which 40% is used and replenished every year. The last filling took place in 2014, when the base wine for this champagne was removed - hence »82/14«. The base wine was fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and underwent malolactic fermentation. The bottles were filled in March 2016. The champagne was disgorged in December 2020 with a 1.7 gram dose.
