The name derives from the term `helda` (steep slope), just like our Hochheim location `Hölle`. The southern exposure, interspersed with walls, with its extremely stony, violet-colored phyllite slate is almost 100 percent planted with Pinot Noir. In summer, peak temperatures are reached in Höllenberg, but these quickly drop again in the evening. These temperature fluctuations lead to a long vegetation phase and thus an associated abundance of aromas. This Pinot Noir from Höllenberg is full-bodied, mineral and dense. With pronounced fruit and fine acidity.
