IT-BIO-014 Clearspring Sushi Brown Rice is ideal for preparing delicious, perfectly cooked rice from which to create savory dishes, including sushi. We thought long and hard about including it in our range as it takes significantly longer to cook than white sushi rice, but given the amazing taste and added value of whole grains, it`s worth it! The short-grain Selenio rice variety used for organic rice has properties very similar to Japanese rice used to make sushi. It is organically grown in Piedmont, north-western Italy, an area also known for growing risotto rice. After ripening, the rice is husked by a rice miller in the nearby town of Trino.

BIO sushi brown rice, Japanese style. Brown rice from certified organic farming. Preparation: Wash 190g sushi brown rice with cold water. Put the rice in a saucepan with 600 ml of cold water and leave to soak for 60 minutes. Bring to a boil and simmer, covered, for 40 minutes or until water is absorbed. Remove from the stove and let stand covered for 10 minutes. Store dry and protected from heat. After opening, close the pack again. Italian agriculture
