2018 Laumersheimer Kirschgarten Pinot Noir, GG, 14% vol., Philipp Kuhn

These Pinot Noir grapes come from the best location in Laumersheim, the cherry orchard. High-quality Pinot Noir of international format, intense fruit notes reminiscent of cassis, wild strawberries, black cherries and plums. Meaty notes and hints of black olives and chocolate can be found in the taste, with cherries again and again. An enormous density and structure, but still elegant, almost playfully packaged. In the finale, the wine has a sweet core with a bit of bite. With the right gut feeling and unique craftsmanship, Philipp Kuhn succeeds in using his philosophy of 50% white and 50% red to produce 100% great dry wines in the Palatinate.
