Roccanivo 2014 Grappa Barbera Invecchiata, 43% vol., Berta, wooden box

The Roccanivo Grappa is made from the Barbera grape through careful selection. It was produced by the discontinuous distillation process in copper steam boilers. It impresses with aromas of raisins, some vanilla and marzipan. The subsequent 8-year expansion in barrique barrels made of Allier oak gives this grappa a velvety soft mouthfeel with beautifully integrated wood tones that give you the feeling of sitting in a sauna. On the palate it is incredibly smooth and slightly peppery with light creamy toffee notes.
