Champagne Veuve Clicquot 2006 La Grande Dame ROSE brut (Prestige Cuvee)

Visually, the light gold color of the Grande Dame 2006 should be emphasized. The nose shows an airy and delicate character at first. This is followed by notes of dried fruit (almonds, figs, apricots), ripe white fruit (pears) and finally subtle toasted notes of hazelnut and praline. These delicious pastry notes are well balanced with the freshness and clarity of the blend. On the palate, the attack is strong and refined. La Grande Dame 2008 gives young fruit a silky texture supported by citrus and red fruit (cherry). 95 points Wine Spectator.
