Full-bodied, creamy, forest and spruce wood notes, finely bitter nuances. Mont d`Or is one of the last French seasonal cheeses. It is produced from August 15th to March 15th and then marketed from September 10th to May 10th. Vacherin Mont d`Or is very easy to prepare: make a cross-shaped cut in the rind. Heat the cheese for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 180° C (fan oven) and then grill for 5-10 minutes.
