DE-ÖKO-022 The Stettener Stein takes on the unique top position among the sites managed by us. That`s why we produce our big plants there. The core layer is like a concave mirror eighty meters above the Main above the rocky foam limestone banks of the lower shell limestone in a semi-circular mountain incision. The steep, sheltered vineyard plots with a 50 to 80% slope benefit greatly from the microclimate, which warms up very quickly due to the warm air masses rising on the rock face. The very skeletal, barren topsoil represents a large heat store and is difficult to root through. This forces the vines to develop deep roots over many years, which penetrate the karst character of the shell limestone, giving the wines great minerality and elegance. A wine that unites apparent opposites. Weight and power with cool mineral elements. In addition, the open yellow-fruity aroma and the accentuated herbaceous, peppery character with mustard seed, fennel and slightly smoky phenolics. Extreme persistence on the palate. Complex herbal cuisine, goose and Iberico with fine roasted aromas make this wine shine on special occasions.
