The vanilla tahitensis - pods themselves are relatively wide (1cm), nice and soft and slightly moist, so they should not be confused with the more well-known Bourbon vanilla. The exclusive fragrance: fine, flowery, of exotic fruits and a hint of tobacco. The cellulose in the stick gives the seeds its typical taste. The dots or specks merely suggest an intense aroma. Ingo Holland Tip: Store in sugar syrup. This keeps them moist and supple. The price-performance ratio is very good because the pods are very economical. The Tahitian vanilla is the queen of the vanilla varieties and should preferably be used for desserts because of its opulent aroma.
