Arctic prawns, peeled, boiled, glazed

With their pink color and firm, juicy consistency, Arctic prawns are a delicacy. In their habitat, the ice-cold and clear waters of the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean, Arctic prawns grow slowly until they reach their final size at the age of six. Due to its slow growth, its aroma and texture can fully develop. The shrimp have a high protein and low fat content. The individually quick-frozen cold-water shrimp are caught in inshore fisheries near the processing facilities, where they are peeled and cooked in a continuous process to preserve the delicate flavor and texture. They are shock-frozen individually, which allows easy portioning even when deep-frozen. The natural aromas are best preserved by gently defrosting in the refrigerator.
