Since 2021, the multi-vintage blend collection is the worthy successor to the Brut Premier. The number of each annual cuvée, e.g. B. 244, stands for the 244th vintage since the founding of the Louis Roederer house in 1776. The composition 244 combines the grapes of the 2019 vintage combined with the freshness of the Reserve Perpetuelle created by Roederer in 2012 and reserve wines from selected parcels, which are grown according to the Tradition Louis Roederer in large oak barrels. Strong golden yellow colour. Dense, regular string of pearls with extremely fine bubbles. In the bouquet, the champagne is full-bodied and complex with aromas of ripe fruit (vineyard peaches, Williams pear) and citrus fruits (lemon, blood orange). There are also aromas of chalk and light reductive notes that indicate a tightly woven, powerful wine. In the beginning delicious, expressive, seductive. Concentrated and extremely juicy, like biting into a ripe fruit. The texture is soft, flattering and envelops the palate. The delicate perlage immediately gives it lightness. A chalky freshness makes for a wonderful length. An extremely seductive wine with light toasty aromas, and its tasty finale makes it extremely fresh. Smoky notes round off this exquisite finish. Collection 244 represents the return of the texture of the Meunier from the Roederer vineyards La Montagne and La Riviere, which gives the saline, richly structured Pinots Noirs and Chardonnays a wonderful complexity!
