The Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder) grows in the Brauneberger Mandelgraben vineyard. A hillside location right up to the forest with ideal water flow even in hot, dry years. The strong, stone-rich slate soil with hard quartzites and gravel brings piquancy and finesse. A medium ruby red in the glass. Intense aromas of pickled red berries paired with spicy slate notes. On the palate very intensely fleshy, full-bodied, at the same time fine and transparent. Elegant with very fine tannins, persistent aroma of black cherries.
