Volnay lies between its two famous neighbors Pommard and Meursault. The wines impress with their elegant, finesse-rich nature. The 1st Cru Clos de Chenes is considered one of the top locations among the over 30 Premier Crus in Volnay. The wine is powerful and concentrated without denying the elegance of the Volnay origins. It matured for 14 months in barriques, 40% of which are first use.
