2016 Nuits-St.-Georges 1st Cru Les Cailles, 13.5% vol., Bouchard

Located in the south of Nuits St. Georges, the Les Cailles location is one of the top 3 Premier Cru locations alongside Les Saint Georges and Vaucrains, but is considered the most elegant of the three. Intense notes of black fruits, spicy with some roasted aromas and slightly meaty hints. The wine matured in barriques for 14 months, 50% of which was first used.
