2010 La Cabane, dry, 14.5% vol., Comte de Thun

A pure Cabernet Franc that was aged for 45 months in 50% new and 50% used barriques. `La Cabane` is a densely structured but elegant wine. On the nose, pure blueberries with wild raspberries and blackberries, underlined with lots of peppery spice and a hint of violet and cedar wood. These aromas are reflected on the palate and develop primarily in a spicy direction. This mineral wine has a firm tannin structure and shows a stimulating freshness throughout, right through to the long finish. Great storage potential.
