The house`s top brand is a cuvee of Carignan, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvedre from the winery`s oldest vines. The wine matured in barriques for 12 months and has a herbal-peppery component complemented by slight hints of licorice and truffle. Good storage properties. With 13,000 hectares, the Corbieres is the largest sub-area in the Languedoc. The Panis family is now in its fifth generation running the winery and cultivates predominantly red grape varieties on 65 hectares, 39 of which are in the AOP Corbieres. In addition to the classic southern French grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown on the clay, limestone and gravel soils. Wine is grown with great respect for nature; the winery is a member of the Vitealis organization.
