2021 Cornet and Cie Banyuls Rimage, sweet, 16.5% vol., Abbe Rous

Sweet red wine made from 100% Grenache Noir. Intense red color, aromas of ripe red fruits in the nose, with black currant dominating. On the palate with notes of roasted coffee beans and a hint of spicy vanilla. Where the Pyrenees fall into the sea, the vineyards of Banyuls, from Collioure to Cerbere and Port-Vendres, stretch along the coast for 25 km. In these locations, on slate terraces, where the grapes are harvested overripe, Banyuls - Vin Doux Naturel (natural sweet wine) - with its rich and complex aromas is created. The aroma is described as fine, racy and fruity. Can easily be stored for up to 2 months when opened.
