The Banyuls wine-growing region (the dry wines are called Collioure) is located at the southernmost point of France, where the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean meet. The vineyards in this region are laid out in terraces, starting from the Mediterranean and extending up into the valleys of the hinterland. The vines here grow predominantly on slate soils. The white Collioure Mas Cornet is golden yellow with a green shimmer. It is powerful with intense aromas of peach, apricot and grilled almonds as well as a floral note (gorse). Velvety and supple on the palate without losing its freshness. A long finish in which the typical minerality of the slate soils comes to the fore once again.
