2022 Reserve des Peintres Collioure, dry, 12.5% vol., Abbe Rous

Rose wine made from 65% Grenache Noir, 20% Mourvedre and 15% Syrah. The taste is strong and harmonious notes of red fruits, yellow melon, quince jelly and with a fresh note of ginger. The red and white grape varieties for the dry wines of the Collioure appellation thrive on the picturesque Cote Vermeille in the southeast of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The sweet wines of Banyuls also come from here. The Cornet rose wine underwent a long fermentation, including 45 days in oak barrels. Its grapes, Grenache Noir, Mourvedre and Syrah, ripen on slate soils. It complements fish dishes (bouillabaisse, grilled fish) and Asian dishes excellently.
