Garnet red, intense. Fine, elegant nose, violet aroma, orange peel and red berries. Very structured and balanced on the palate, soft tannins with a long finish. 97 points Wine Spectator. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists of Piedmont winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. He has adopted his ancestors` philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the development of his wines. His wines are of Burgundian elegance, gentle yet powerful and long.
