Equipped with mountains of ripe berries, also earthy and spicy notes, some truffles, dark chocolate and cigar box, dense, powerful and noble tannins, very deep, concentrated but still polished and elegantly endowed with a lot of power and storage potential. 93 points Wine Spectator. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists of Piedmont winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. He has also adopted his ancestors` philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the development of his wines. His wines are of Burgundian elegance, gentle yet powerful and long.
