Garnet red. Intense nose of spices and dry fruits. Full in the mouth, long-lasting, harmonious and elegant. Very long finale, huge potential. For legal reasons, the wine can only bear the vineyard name Falletto; the place name Serralunga is no longer permitted. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists of Piedmont winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. From the 2009 vintage onwards, Barolo and Barbaresco are no longer allowed to have a place name in the vineyard name; this wine was previously called Falletto di Serralunga. 94 points Wine Spectator
