Matured for 36 months in French oak barrels, then aged in the bottle for another 2 years. Elegant aroma, fleshy, with fine roasted notes, earthy style, juicy and well-integrated tannins. 97 points Wine Spectator. 96 Parker points. Bruno Giacosa is one of the last traditionalists in Piedmontese winemaking. He fundamentally rejects barriques and his wines are not filtered. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and aging in large French oak barrels. He has adopted his ancestors` philosophy of intervening as little as possible in the development of his wines. His wines are of Burgundian elegance, gentle yet powerful and long.
