A blend of 22 stunning botanicals including Alexandrian Clover, Samphire, Verbena, Grapefruit and Helichrysum are used to create 44°N. To complete this selection, local suppliers from the Cote d`Azur contribute rosa centifolia, mimosa, jasmine and lavender, all blessed by the region`s constant sun and warmth. The interaction of the careful selection of botanicals, the local climate and the unique distillation technique was developed and realized by Marie-Anne Contamin, scientific director and innovator at Comte de Grasse. The first thing that hits the nose is the fresh, tangy lemon peel and grapefruit. The aroma of a sea breeze, samphire, is highlighted by a hint of mimosa. Cade, a relative of juniper, adds woody, pine-like facets. A blooming, floral flavor with hints of Rose Centifolia and Grasse Jasmine. Jammy facets of bitter orange are counteracted by the herbaceous power of angelica. A hint of warm pepper rounds out the middle notes. The tangy, warm, spicy notes of Alexandrian herb, which are present throughout, allude to the undergrowth in which the Cade grows freely. Iris and honey provide a sweet yet musky, long-lasting effect on the tongue that comes to an end as floral and citrus notes mingle.
