Panko breadcrumbs give a spectacular result when breading meat or vegetables. It is best known as the crust of the Japanese schnitzel variant Tonkatsu. The very large bread crumbs form a breading that is comparable to corn flakes. Breadcrumbs are made from wheat flour, yeast, shortening, salt and glucose. Its consistency is comparable to the French Mie de Pain, in which only the white of the bread and not the crust are processed into breadcrumbs. Also available in 10kg.

Breadcrumbs Japanese Style. WHEAT FLOUR, cooking oil (unhydrogenated palm fat), sugar, salt, yeast. Application: Season fish or meat with salt and pepper. Roll in flour, then dip in egg (2 whisked) and then coat with panko breadcrumbs. Then deep-fry at 180°C until the dough is golden brown. Store in a cool, dry place and protected from light. Wheat flour from Australia, USA or Canada.
