The main ingredients of this sauce are soy sauce, wine, sugar, vinegar, spices, onions and garlic. Teriyaki sauce can be used as a marinade for raw meat, as a dip for fried foods, or added to rice and noodle dishes. If the sauce is used as a marinade, the meat should marinate, covered, in the refrigerator for 3 hours before cooking in the pan or on the grill. If you deglaze the roast with some teriyaki at the end of the cooking time and reduce it briefly, you will get a suitable sauce.
