2019 Steinsatz red wine, dry, 14% vol., Schneider

A red wine cuvee made from Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Incidentally, it is the only wine in which all grapes from the different grape varieties are harvested and fermented together. Steinsatz only occurs in great years, when optimal weather conditions guarantee perfect harvest and ripeness. The vineyards of the old Steinsatz sites are, as the name suggests, characterized by a mix of different soils. They vary from stony sandy soils to gravelly terraced gravel soils with limestone deposits.
