2022 Wiltinger Riesling, dry, 12% vol., Van Volxem

A Riesling from Wiltinger`s steep slopes in the Braunfels area with a dry taste profile. You almost feel like you`re biting into the dark brown slate that characterizes this area. First, as always, a subtle scent of smoky minerals and white pepper - that`s what slate smells like! After a few minutes in the large glass, this terroir-influenced wine then develops noble, earthy aromas with the finest nuances of blueberry, juniper and sloe. With its wonderfully demanding, aromatically intense minerality reminiscent of iodine, the Braunfels Riesling is a perfect accompaniment to food. A noble wine in a noble garb!
