2023 Chardonnay Limestone, dry, 13.5% vol., Artist

The Chardonnay Kalkstein comes from a location in the far east of Hochheim. The vines are grown on limestone soils directly on the Main. This wine is one of the special features of the Kunstler winery. The lime content in the soil results in a wine with soft acidity, delicate aromas and an elegant aftertaste. 2/3 of the wine is matured in stainless steel containers and 1/3 of the batch in barriques and was left on the fine yeast for about half a year. This gives the wine a beautiful melt and notes of melted butter on the nose.
